Founded in print in 2001, it adopted an exclusively electronic format in the second half of 2017; from January to December 2021 it was published every four months (three issues per year); and in January 2022 it adopted continuous publication in order to expedite scholarly communication.

APC Policy (Article Processing Charges)
Regiones y Desarrollo Sustentable is funded in its entirety by El Colegio de Tlaxcala, A. C., and operates under the diamond open-access model: it charges no article processing charges (APCs) or publication contribution fees (CCPs) at any stage of the editorial process. Accordingly, neither authors nor readers bear any cost for the editing, production, publication, reading, downloading, or access of its content.
