The objective of the research is to identify the actions that have been carried out in the city of Morelia
to promote the use of bicycles and thus actively participate in the reduction of carbon emissions.
The proposed methodology is the analysis of the Ciclociudades Ranking developed in Mexico since
2013, said evaluation has been carried out seven times, with 2021 being the last edition carried out;
The sample that has been used varies from 25 to 39 cities per year. As main results, it was identified
that Morelia had a positive evolution in the ranking over the years, which means that it has improved
in promoting the use of bicycles as a means of transportation, although it is necessary to identify the
axes in which it has had lower score and work to improve. Bicycle use not only impacts urban policy,
it also has repercussions on health policy and economic policy.
