In the article we reflect on one of the unnamed practices that come from the patriarchal capitalist and colonial
system in general, which we call padrotiles; and, in their particularity, concrete, historical and cultural
material, we find them as patrañería (cultural category built from some narratives heard in our daily lives). We
understand these practices as those carried out by any man or woman who do not practice prostitution, but who,
nevertheless, are similar in sense. Our hypothesis is that these cultural and everyday practices, patrañeras, give
sustenance to the prostitution system. We reflect from some daily narratives that, analogously, are similar
to those found among women in prostitution and padrotes who do engage in prostitution. We conceptually
base the article on the reflection of Rossana Cassigoli and on the research of Oscar Montiel Torres, and others.
The relevance of the text is that we propose that the care and prevention of the phenomenon of prostitution and
human trafficking is found in everyday life, in the unnamed practices that are the memory of an ancient past,
that are not named and that, sometimes We don’t even notice them.
